Public Transport - Free

Veterans who hold a Veterans’ Free Travel SmartRider card are eligible for free travel at all times on Transperth and regional town services. Holders of local and interstate Vision Impairment Free Travel Passes are entitled to free travel on all Transperth and regional services at all times.  As stated on the travel pass, an accompanying guide may also travel for free. Free travel during off peak times is available to other eligible concession Smartrider holders using Transperth bus, train and ferry services, and regional town services where SmartRider ticketing is in place. This is between 9.00am and 3.30pm, after 7pm, and before 6am, Monday to Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday, as well as public holidays.

Eligibility

Western Australian Seniors Card holders, and Age and Disability Support Pensioners​ and those in receipt of a Carers Payment using an  associated SmartRider card. Veterans who hold a Veterans’ Free Travel SmartRider and holders of local and interstate Vision Impairment Travel Free Passes.
